shop the look: mountain getaway

Justin and I went on a little getaway to Vail, Colorado for my birthday and before we picked up the newest addition to our family, Franklin (our sweet 9 week old Boxer puppy!) It felt so nice to be in the mountains and fresh air – and to pack for a trip again. Vail is super casual when it comes to what you wear, so I had fun with basic clean tops and flowy skirts, denim and booties. We had such a great time wandering Vail Village, hiking, horseback riding and eating and drinking WAY too much. One of my favorite shops in Vail Village was one that a friend had told me about prior to my trip where they sell amazing western hats, boots, etc. It was top on my list to add a custom Stetson hat to my closet — definitely an investment but totally worth it! They not only molded the hat to be exactly the fit & style I wanted but they brand each hat with your initials and you pick a customized band. If you’re looking for the perfect western hat visit Kemo Sabe! I pretty much wore this the rest of the trip keeping my outfits simple. Check out all of my outfit details below. A lot of these items are great not only for vacations but for fall basics (the bodysuits) and things you can incorporate into your fall wardrobe (like the booties, jeans or throw a denim jacket with the skirt).
